Dear Parents,

We are all troubled with the current distressing disaster that happened in our country especially in the places of Cainta, Pasig and Marikina which was hardly hit. Many homes were devastated, leaving families in desperate need of shelter, blankets and clothing and others shed tears losing the loved ones. I am also convinced that your heart is full of desire to help and you are now asking how.

What's good about this event is the fact that despite economic troubles, the "bayanihan" spirit and the kindness of the Filipino come into sight, in our own little ways we've come to extend a helping hand in such short notice.

A total of 512,092 families are affected by the floodwaters that struck Quezon City, Pasig, Marikina, San Mateo, Montalban and some other towns of Rizal. To date, 4,644 houses are damaged, some 2,560 completely destroyed and 2,075 partially affected. Much is considered necessary to help our troubled fellow citizens survive these days of ordeal by providing the basic necessities of food, clothing and shelter. Thus, help will be most needed to assist them in the most difficult part of reconstructing their homes, lives and hope!

The Harrell Horne Integrated School launched the "Operation: Hope in Motion" to bring back and uplift the losing hopes ion the hearts of the victims if typhoon Ondoy. The faculty together with the Student Body Organization went to the said affected areas to distribute the first batch of relief goods. We encourage you to reach out to them by donating canned goods, used clothes, blankets and medicines. The school is continuously accepting donations until Friday afternoon to those who were not able to share yet for the second relief operations on Saturday.

I firmly believe that the school and with your support, we are teaching your children the social responsibility of helping their fellowmen and the value of giving without expecting anything in return from people but what's important is the eternal reward from our Almighty God.

We are grateful for your generosity and most importantly your support. On behalf of the entire Harrell Horne Integrated School community, thank you and God bless!

Sincerely yours,

MRS. MA. LUZ S. VILLANUEVA
School Director
